Center of Winter
So... I went out feature hunting on Tuesday and came back with these. I had thought about doing a small essay on winter earlier in the year, but it just never panned out. With the addition of these two images however, I was able to put together a small package with some stuff that I had shot previously. It ran on A1, and I think it turned out pretty nice. My concept was the "Center of Winter," because I realized that this week was pretty much exactly half way between the end of fall, and the first day of spring, hence the title. Enjoy!

I'll post a comment here instead of on your flickr account so that you know people are watching your blog too.
I first saw your shots on Steve C. facebook account (I picked out your two shots of Josiah, and Haylee from the rest of their Christmas shots), I know good bokeh when I see it. Steve pointed me to your website, and then you pointed me to your blog :) Anyways, I just wanted to say that I enjoy your shots, and the blog!
Hey Nathan, I stumbled across your blog from Kevin Benedict's.
I live in Midland, and I thought the front page of the newspaper was great.
You photojournalists make the newspaper interesting. When I fist saw the page, I thought, wow, this photography is really centered, there better be a reason, then I read the title. :)
I'm going to keep track of your blog, I like to check out creative photography work, although I don't take pictures. My sister is an avid photographer and blogger, so I have an appreciation for photography.
Thanks guys! It's great to know that people are checking out the blog. You both are too kind. Hope all is well with you both, and please keep checking back.
