93-year-old Lieschen "Lee" Corbett is a veteran of World War II who served in the Navy WAVES and Army Special Services. While on a trip to visit her sister in California, Corbett was recruited to join the Navy. She was first stationed at the Roosevelt Hotel in Washington D.C. Then, when the opportunity arose for her to travel to war-torn Germany, Corbett volunteered to go and help run a service club for the men stationed there following the war. While there, Corbett traveled around the country and even sat in on the trials of two Nazi war criminals.
