Cards or Cash?

Whooo-hooo! This is my 50th post! Okay, now that I've got that out of the way, check this out... This is an image that I've been working on to illustrate a story about how more and more people are using debit and credit cards instead of cash and checks. I had a few ideas floating around in my head, but I though that this one was the most concrete. I shot a similar image yesterday, but only with a few credit cards. Tully game me the idea to completely fill it with cards to help get the point across a little easier. I knew that the other image needed something, I just didn't know what. But now, I'm pretty happy. Like my coffee image from earlier posts, this photo will cover an entire section front. It should be pretty cool. Keep watching to see the final product. Enjoy!

Climb

These are a few of my favorites from my assignment tonight. It was a "headlamp climb" held at CMU's Adventure Seminars in Mount Pleasant. It was tough to shoot, but it was still a pretty sweet assignment. I even got to climb the 32-foot wall myself. I had never climbed before, so it was kind of a big deal. Enjoy!

Winter Weather

Okay, I apologize for not posting in a while, but honestly, I haven't shot anything lately that I have been very proud of. I've been in a rut for the past few weeks, but I think I'm finally coming out of it. I have a ton of blogging to catch up on though. I'll still need to post stuff that I shot over Christmas, and I have a small year-in-pictures slide show that I was working on that I'd like to post before 2010 roles around. But for now, I though I'd post this image that I shot this morning at Ace Hardware for a story that we're working on about winter weather preparations. From what I understand, this winter has been worse than last year, and last year was one of the worst winters for Midland in recent memory. The manager of Ace told me that they have almost sold almost as much salt, just since the beginning of December, as they did all of last winter. I'm not totally happy with this image (I'm really trying to shoot more moments), but at least I had some nice light for a change. Enjoy!
